dressed, people try to outdo one anothers functions etc are all actions that can significantly reduce the blessings in our marriages. It is important for us to bear in mind the simplicity of such a function, the invitation of poor and needy, the fulfillment of whatever pleases Allah & the abstention from whatever displeases Him. Then we see the blessings in our marriages by the Will of Almighty. Extravagance & wastefulness in any sphere of life is wrong.
